The challenge

Wayfinding that
others could update.

Frankston City Council was developing wayfinding at strategic points across the city and the wider area. Metromatics, LaunchPADS’ partner, supplied a large touchscreen placed in an existing local attraction.

The council needed to update the screen remotely, and without using the signage CMS itself, so other parties could also help keep the content current.

The solution

A custom portal and
PADS4 wayfinding.

According to the project record, LaunchPADS built a custom web portal and a wayfinding solution in PADS4 that updated dynamically, with data-driven updates every hour.

The project record describes more than 1,500 touch points and more than 300 possible pages of information about activities and destinations in the Frankston region. LaunchPADS designed the graphics in-house to match the council’s website.
