The challenge

Twelve bus lines,
one display.

According to the project record, the client needed to combine 12 different bus lines into a single passenger-information display showing real-time departures, with a web interface for all of the bus lines.

Our contribution

Feeds that PADS4
could use live.

We converted the bus and coach feeds into live feeds for use within PADS4, so the passenger-information screens could show departures as they changed. Metromatics supplied the screen hardware.

The solution

Programmed routes,
clear departures.

The project record describes a custom web interface where bus lines could log in and program the routes for each service. That information fed the screens at the terminal, showing which bus line was leaving and from which platform.

Rules activated as departure time approached, or when a change was made.
