Finally. You Can Actually Talk to Meta Support About Facebook Business Access Issues

Finally, Meta Support Is Becoming Easier To Contact

For years, recovering access to a Facebook Page or Meta Business account felt almost impossible.

If a staff member left the business, an agency relationship ended badly, or someone accidentally removed admin access, businesses were often stuck in a loop of automated support articles and unanswered tickets.

We’ve recently gone through this process helping recover and restore access to multiple business accounts, including situations where the actual business owners no longer had direct access to their own Facebook Pages or Meta Business assets.

The good news is that Meta’s support system has improved significantly.

You can now access direct support options through Meta Business Manager, including live chat support in many cases.

For agencies and businesses managing Facebook Pages, ad accounts, Pixels, and Instagram accounts, this is a massive improvement.

The Biggest Problem We See

The most common issue is not hacking.

It’s permission levels.

A business may still technically have access to their Facebook Page through a scheduling platform or social media software, but nobody actually has “Full Control” inside Meta Business Manager.

This creates major problems when trying to:

  • Add new staff
  • Add a marketing agency
  • Access advertising accounts
  • Manage Pixels
  • Verify domains
  • Connect Instagram accounts
  • Recover lost access

In many cases, only one or two users still have the ability to approve access requests.

Sometimes those users no longer work for the business.

How To Check If You Actually Have Full Access

Log into Meta Business Manager:

https://business.facebook.com

Then follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Accounts > Pages
  3. Select your Facebook Page
  4. Check who has “Facebook Access with Full Control”

If you only see “Task Access”, you do not have full admin control.

How To Request Access To A Facebook Page

If someone else still has full control of the Page, you can request access directly through Meta Business Suite.

Where To Find Meta Support

Inside Meta Business Manager, click the Help button in the bottom left corner.

Depending on your account status and ad spend, you may see options including:

  • Live chat support
  • Email support
  • Business support tickets
  • Account quality support
  • Page recovery support

You can also access the Meta Business Help Centre here:

What Businesses Should Do Right Now

If your business relies on Facebook or Instagram for marketing, take five minutes today and check your access.

Make sure:

  • More than one trusted person has full control
  • The business owner has direct access
  • Your agency access is correctly configured
  • Old staff accounts are removed
  • Your Business Manager is verified
  • Your ad accounts and Pages are owned by the business

This is one of those problems nobody notices until they suddenly lose access.

And when that happens, it can stop advertising, messaging, lead generation, and social posting overnight.

Thankfully, Meta’s support process is finally moving in the right direction.
